Our editorial standards guide everything we do: how we find the most reputable sources, how we research tariffs, products and prices, and how we write, edit and update our guides and reviews. We follow a strict fact-checking process, and we correct errors fully and quickly.
Editorial independence is one of our core values. Our advice, recommendations and product reviews are not influenced by business relationships. We are transparent about how we make money and how we evaluate products and companies.
Energy is local. A solar recommendation that makes sense in Europe may not make sense in Nigeria, so our team works with local data and sources, covering electricity tariffs, grid reliability, generator dependence, fuel costs, solar resource, financing, regulation and installation practices.

EnergyLucid operates an editorial platform alongside a commercial marketplace. Energy companies may list their businesses, subscribe to paid services, advertise or purchase featured placement, but these relationships do not give companies control over our editorial decisions.
Commercial relationships cannot be used to change an editorial conclusion, remove legitimate criticism, improve a ranking, suppress information about a competitor, or guarantee a positive review.

No one-size-fits-all “best” product
The right product depends on the application, system requirements, market conditions and the needs of the customer. When comparing products we consider specifications, performance, reliability, warranty, price and value, availability, compatibility, service and total value.
A company appearing on EnergyLucid is not automatically recommended or endorsed. Companies may be Listed, Verified, Featured, Recommended or Customer-rated, and verification means we have checked the information requested, not that we guarantee every project outcome.
Customer reviews must represent genuine experiences. Companies cannot pay for positive reviews or manipulate ratings, and we investigate or remove fake, manipulative or abusive content.
Pricing & Market Data
Context with every figure
Energy prices and equipment costs are constantly changing, driven by manufacturers, exchange rates, import costs, product availability, system configuration, location and regulatory decisions on tariffs.
A published price should never be interpreted as a quotation, guaranteed price or offer. Where relevant, we identify whether a figure is an observed, starting, estimated, market-range, historical or reported price.
Fact-Checking & Corrections
We’d rather be corrected than leave incorrect information online
All EnergyLucid editorial content goes through an editorial review process appropriate to its type and importance. Our writers and editors check facts, sources, calculations, links, product information, technical details and regulatory information.
We recognise that information can become outdated and mistakes can happen. When we identify a material factual error, we correct it; for significant corrections, with a note explaining what changed and why.

An advertisement is not an editorial recommendation, and paid placement does not mean we have independently verified every advertiser claim. Where content is sponsored or commercially influenced, we make that relationship clear.
And because energy markets are local, our editorial work reflects the realities of the markets we cover without assuming that information or recommendations from another market automatically apply.
