Editorial Guidelines
How we create, review, and correct the content on EnergyLucid.
Our mission
EnergyLucid helps homeowners and businesses in Nigeria understand solar energy and make informed decisions — what equipment to buy, how to size a system, and which installers to trust. Our guides, calculators, and reviews exist to make that decision easier, not to sell you on any one product or company.
How we make money
EnergyLucid is a marketplace. Installers, manufacturers, and distributors pay us to list and manage their profiles, and some pay for subscription tiers that unlock additional visibility (like a featured badge on their profile). That revenue funds the platform and our editorial content.
Paying for a subscription does not affect a company's customer reviews, verification status, or how they're covered in our guides. Reviews on EnergyLucid come from real customers and cannot be bought, edited, or removed by the company being reviewed.
How we create content
Our guides and calculators are written and maintained by the EnergyLucid team, based on publicly available technical specifications, manufacturer data sheets, and Nigerian electricity pricing where relevant. We update pages when we find outdated pricing or technical information — solar equipment costs and specs change often.
